The majority is invited to negotiate by the People’s Advocate, Bardhi: let’s make a decision through conversation

As the leader of the Democratic Party’s parliamentary group, Gazmend Bardhi calls on the Parliament and the PS (Socialist Party) to start talks on electing the People’s Advocate.

Bardhi notes that the opposition has the right to suggest a name to replace Erinda Ballanca, citing political custom that dates back to 2012.

But in light of the need for the majority’s votes, which calls for 84 votes, the leader of the PD’s parliamentary group extends an invitation to his socialist counterpart for an open and democratic debate.

Democrats and Socialists have been at odds over the People’s Advocate for more than a year because the Socialist Party has not yet submitted a vote and the divided Democrats have not yet chosen which candidate to support.”
