To closely monitor the situation caused by a major fire that consumed the hills covered in olive trees in the village of Zhamë Sektor, Dushk Unit, this afternoon, Interior Minister Taulant Balla has traveled to Lushnje.
Due to the fire’s progress, large sections of vegetation, bushes, and olive trees were burnt, putting residential properties at jeopardy.
For more than four hours, firefighters, police officers, and employees of the municipal administration have been working to contain the fire. According to reports, the nearby homes are not under danger from the fire at this time.
In the meantime, one person has been detained by police in relation to the case.
