After about two hours, the Reconciliation group’s meeting with Mr. Bardhi came to an end. Sali Berisha spoke to journalists after the meeting, expressing great optimism that this was a significant step toward opposition unity.

Berisha emphasized that “the opposition now breathes freely and optimistically.”This was a critical first step in a long process that will provide solutions to all of the issues that have arisen.

“This is a meeting of 43 deputies who have emerged from an opposition alliance and have decided to set a date for Edi Rama in parliament. Nothing is more moral than the battle to demolish Edi Rama’s Albania. Every opposition member prioritizes national interests. There are 620,000 opposition supporters who can now breathe freely and confidently. Today, a new chapter in their difficult battle against the regime begins.”

Of course, lawmakers from the House of Freedom, who are opponents of the regime, were not present, but Berisha extended an invitation to “every MP who is firmly opposed to this regime.”
