After his meeting with the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, expressed his disappointment, stating that there was no trilateral meeting in Brussels and no clear roadmap for resolving the ongoing crisis. Vučić also took the opportunity to address the issue of meeting with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, whom he accused of provocation and promoting a fanatical ideology.

“I currently see no reason to engage with someone who provokes on a daily basis and seeks to create conflict due to their extreme beliefs,” remarked Vučić.

He continued by stating that he will maintain regular communication with EU officials, although he did not shy away from criticizing them.

“Kosovo did not emerge out of thin air; it has been in the making for a long time. For many EU countries, it is considered an independent state, their very own creation, which is why they protect it,” said the Serbian president, once again portraying his country as being under significant pressure.
