Today marks the 24th anniversary of Kosovo’s liberation. The state leaders have initiated the commemorations with tributes at the grave of former President Ibrahim Rugova.
President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti, and Speaker of Parliament Glauk Konjufca have also paid tribute at the grave of activist Adem Demaçi.
On the day of Kosovo’s liberation, Osmani, Kurti, and Konjufca will also pay tribute at the “Adem Jashari” Memorial Complex in Prekaz.
Other ceremonies are expected throughout the day, including a performance by the Kosovo Security Force orchestra at noon and an official joint reception in the evening to honor Liberation Day.
