Prime Minister Edi Rama extended his gratitude to Kosovo’s President, Vjosa Osmani, for “speaking directly” with Serbia’s President, Aleksandar Vucic, in a Twitter post, and stated his confidence that the European Union’s three objectives will be met immediately.
“I cannot thank Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz enough for their efforts to complete the process of normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia.” It says volumes about their great European character to see them sitting with respect for both sides in an attempt to resolve a ludicrous conflict. “Thank you,” Rama said on social media.
“I also thank Vjosa Osmani for speaking directly with Aleksandar Vucic, and I sincerely hope that the three demands of the European Union will be met immediately, so that this absurd conflict can end before it harms Kosovo’s reputation and further integration into the democratic community,” our Prime Minister added.
Finally, Edi Rama thanked Josep Borrell, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy: “A big thanks also goes to Josep Borrell for his passion and patience in assisting this process.”
