Violence against KFOR, 3 soldiers wounded by gunfire

New information has emerged on the violent protest by Serbs in northern Kosovo, which resulted in the injuries of over 30 Italian and Hungarian KFOR soldiers.

An inquiry found one day after these violent acts that three Hungarian KFOR soldiers were injured by gunfire, confirming that the situation was considerably more perilous.

The NATO peacekeeping operation informed the media in a statement that the three soldiers did not receive life-threatening injuries. It has been discovered that a medical team from Hungary has traveled to Kosovo to assist the injured.

The NATO peacekeeping operation, KFOR, said that 30 soldiers were injured in the fighting the day before, including 19 Hungarians and 11 Italians.
