Albania and Bulgaria have signed a pension recognition agreement. Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the news on Facebook. According to the head of government, this is yet another success for Albanian citizens living abroad. According to him, the agreement governs citizens’ insurance when they work in both countries.
“Albania and Bulgaria have signed a Social Security Agreement. Albania has achieved yet another success in recognizing social security for Albanian citizens living abroad. The agreement regulates the insurance of Bulgarian and Albanian citizens who work in both countries, guarantees their insurance rights, payment of benefits in the event of illness or accidents in the workplace, and the conditions for providing various types of pensions,” Rama writes.
