Serbia and Kosovo have agreed to normalize their relationship. Josep Borrell, the EU’s Chief Foreign Policy Officer, announced this.
“The leaders of Kosovo and Serbia have agreed to implement the agreement toward normalizing their relationship, which is supported by the EU,” Borrell declared after mediating a marathon meeting in Ohrid, North Macedonia, between Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, and Serbia’s President, Aleksandar Vucic.
“This is a significant accomplishment. The parties have agreed that the agreement and its implementation through the annex will constitute an integral part of their separate pathways to the European Union. Although the parties opted not to officially sign the agreement, they agreed to begin implementation as soon as possible. This agreement clearly benefits all sides because the conversation is about the peace, security, and prosperity of the entire region, not just Kosovo and Serbia “said the EU’s top diplomat.
