Prime Minister Edi Rama responded to the meeting in Ohrid between Albin Kurti and Aleksandar Vucic, where the parties established an agreement on the implementation of the Franco-German proposal for normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
“Let’s hope the devil isn’t in the details tonight, and that the agreed-upon but unsigned agreement isn’t another Balkan ruse!” Rama stated on Twitter.
“Otherwise, this would be a historic success that would herald a long-awaited thaw in ties between Albanians and Serbs in the Balkans.”
The Prime Minister also complimented the four negotiators and expressed hope that “the unsigned agreement will become a new and irrevocable reality between Kosovo and Serbia, Albanians and Serbs, Western Balkans and the European Union.”
