In a speech to the country, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated that he has no intention of signing anything with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti during their March 18 meeting in Ohrid, which will be attended by senior EU and US officials.
The Serbian leader notes that while the Kosovar and Serbian sides have submitted their proposals, the European Union has not yet provided a document for the implementation of the plan that would lead to the normalization of relations between the two nations.
Kurti and Vucic agreed the content of the plan in principle on February 27, while the EU declared that it is working on the implementation details on the ground.
In addition, Vucic stated that the meeting with Kurti will not be a “day of judgment” and pledged to act in Serbia’s best interests.
“Let’s work towards normalizing relations with Kosovo, forge the best possible ties with the European Union, and strictly adhere to our red lines. I will not abandon this endeavor “said Vucic.
The Serbian head of state reaffirmed that Serbia will continue to pursue the establishment of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority.
