The European Union’s spokesperson, Peter Stano, claimed that we are currently in the process of restoring relations between Serbia and Kosovo, with the EU proposal likely to be signed at the conclusion.

“The EU Special Representative for Dialogue, Miroslav Laják, is scheduled to visit Kosovo on Thursday and Friday, March 9th and 10th. On Monday and Tuesday, March 13th and 14th, he will travel to Serbia. The purpose of these trips is to continue the talks that began following the last high-level summit in Brussels. He will meet individually with Prime Minister Kurti and President Vucic, as well as their staff, to guarantee smooth continuity and to discuss measures for the implementation of the agreement for the normalization of Kosovo-Serbia relations.

Of course, this comes before the next high-level meeting, which will take place later this month. Clearly, the EU’s goal is to take the process of normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia forward and to lead them to the conclusion of a complete legally binding agreement for relations normalization. But, this occurs at the end of the procedure, and we are currently in the middle of it. Last week’s meeting had nothing to do with signatures, but rather with a discussion of the EU plan, which both leaders welcomed and accepted that there is no need to discuss the proposal’s content “Stano stated.
