Albanian Prime Minister Rama confirmed the date for this year’s Berlin Process Summit, which will be held in Tirana, in a joint media release with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

According to Rama, the Summit will be held on October 16 in the Albanian capital, where the Business Forum will also be conducted, with participation from firms and companies from Albania, the region, and Germany.

“I’d want to thank Chancellor Scholz for his hospitality and his government’s desire to support Albania and the Western Balkans during this critical time for us and Europe.

We thank all of the region’s leaders, especially because the Berlin Process Summit is being held in our region for the first time.

I am delighted that Tirana has been chosen as the location for this summit. It is a summit where the goals that have been met and those that still need to be met will be presented. It will also improve regional cohesion.

We are lucky to have Germany as a direct partner on our trip. We also discussed with the Chancellor various areas of economic and social life for some crucial parts of the EU’s standard of living.

We’ve also discussed the integration process, which is dependent on each state’s particular efforts. We have certainly discussed the region. Personally, our government fully supports the idea for peace and normalization between Kosovo and Serbia. A plan that all sides must carry out with the utmost seriousness.

The Summit will be place on October 16, where we will collaborate and where the Chancellor’s office will also be involved in the formation of a business forum, with participation from nations in the area and German firms.”
