
Giorgia Meloni, the Italian Prime Minister, was also present at the European Union and Western Balkan leaders’ summit, which was held in Tirana for the first time.
She asserts that European leaders have “a big duty towards the Western Balkan countries, especially after the Russian aggression in Ukraine, it is vital to enhance the procedure for these countries’ membership in the EU and there are many concerns that we need to consider, from cyber security to other issues that Italy is dedicated to.”
“We are doing our best,” Meloni says, “and as you know, you can always rely on Italy.”
