The European Union strongly condemns the barbaric attack in Zubin Potok on a Kosovo Police patrol.
“The Kosovo Police is the primary supplier of security, and the use of force against officials is unacceptable,” stated the EU headquarters in Pristina in a statement.
It also urges the governments of Kosovo and Serbia to avoid excessive speculation, which could exacerbate tensions.
There was also a response from Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who stated that the attack originated in Serbia. The head of government urged official Belgrade to condemn and disassociate itself from terrorist attacks on Kosovo police officers.
“This will neither impede nor stop us in our struggle to uphold the rule of law against organized crime and corruption throughout our Republic’s territory,” Kurti added.
