MP Grida Duma stated that Democratic Party lawmakers had given Lulzim Basha till Thursday to quit from his position as party leader.
“We have sought Lulzim Basha’s resignation for one reason only: the DP cannot be damaged any further. Democrats can no longer afford to be losers; they must win. It should be made obvious to everyone that if it affects the DP, he must withdraw. As he requested in the parliamentary group meeting, the MPs extended the deadline until tomorrow”, stated Duma from Elbasan.
Basha announced his decision, saying, “I will withdraw, just give me some time to clarify, to express my decision.”
“There is no other option than to resign. A single person cannot exploit the Democrats’ fate,” Duma added.
