The highest rate of coronavirus infection continues to be in regions with the lowest immunization coverage.

The specialists at the Institute of Public Health produce a map of vaccination coverage across the country, with cities highlighted in red for having the greatest rate of unvaccinated residents.

Silva Bino, chief of infectious diseases at Public Health Institution, said that vaccination rates in central Albania, Tirana, and nearby towns are the lowest owing to misinformation-fueled beliefs.

Bino noted during an infodemics symposium at the Academy of Sciences that pregnant women are the most rejecting category to the anti-Covid vaccine. As a result, their mortality is high, particularly abortions performed using Covid.
