According to the Albanian Ministry of Health, 2102 tests have been conducted in the previous 24 hours, with 187 citizens infected with coronavirus.

Meanwhile, six persons have died as a result of Covid-19, while 974 have recovered.

Currently, 111 patients are undergoing treatment at COVID hospitals, 16 of them are in a more critical condition.

The weakenng of the Omicron variant has been reflected with the new vaccinations. The drop in new infections has reduced citizens’ desire to be vaccinated.

Daily vaccinations have hit their lowest levels since the start of the process in the last week, reaching little more than 1,000 doses yesterday.

Internationally vaccinated individuals are also included in the calculation. Just as they did at the beginning, young people are showing less interest in vaccination.

Meanwhile, doctors fear that the arrival of spring and rising temperatures will further depress enthusiasm in vaccination.

The elderly have the highest vaccination coverage, according to Ministry of Health data. Following them, the age group of 50 to 69 years has the highest immunization rate.
