The dangers of palm oil abuse in food products

Palm oil affects the growth of cancer cells in cancer patients, according to a study recently published in Spain that resonated across Europe.

Healthy citizens or children who consume food containing or cooked with palm oil are also at danger.

The Supreme State Audit condemned the National Food Authority’s insufficient efforts on food controls in September of this year, when an investigated subject was found to have sold 20 thousand kg of cheese laced with palm oil with no blockage or laboratory examination.

The authorities’ main issue is tracing products that include palm oil that has been abused.

Palm oil can be found in sausages, dried fruits, and canned meals, in addition to dairy, potato chips, and desserts.
