Patients admitted to Covid wards arrive late and in a critical condition. Doctors warn against dismissing symptoms of the disease that are initially mistaken for seasonal viruses.
In the previous week, the urgency of the situation has intensified, as has the need for hospitalization. In Covid wards, 20 patients per day require specialist treatment from doctors.
According to infection specialist Miqena Qato, many young people are among those hospitalized with severe forms. Even in these age groups, the doctor identifies some of the factors that contribute to death.
Doctors found no patients re-infected with Covid-19 in Covid hospitals during the wave produced by the Delta mutation, nor those who had been vaccinated in addition to their natural immunity.
All inpatients at Covid Hospital have never had the disease before, and the majority have not even taken the vaccine.
