The European Union also reacted to the Kosovo police anti-smuggling operation.
Josep Borrell, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, has urged for an urgent halt to the violence in northern Kosovo.
“Unilateral and uncoordinated acts that jeopardize stability are unacceptable,” the Brussels official stated in a Twitter update.
He urges the parties to engage in EU-mediated discussion to resolve outstanding issues. Borrell added, “We are in contact with Belgrade and Pristina.”
