The agreement between Kosovo and Serbia has been welcomed by the NATO General Secretary, Jens Stoltenberg.
In a meeting with the EU Special Envoy for Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, Stoltenberg discussed the reduction of tensions in Jarinje and Bernjak.
“KFOR continues to guarantee security, peace and free movement. NATO’s and EU’s common interest is having a lasting political solution in the region”, Stoltenberg wrote on Twitter.
Kosovo and Serbia agreed to cover each other license plates when entering the respective territories.
The barricades formed by Serbs and the Special Forces of Kosovo will also leave Jarinje and Bernjak. Kosovo Police will be replaced by KFOR, which will remain for two weeks.
