The European Union has approved a 14.2 billion EUR fund supporting the countries that are part of the enlargement process, including Albania.
The funds will be valid for the 2021-2027 period and will help the countries in question to implement the reforms necessary for their EU progress.
In this list are Albania, Bosnia, Iceland, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonai, Serbia and Turkey.
This assistance will focus on the rule of law, public administration, economic development and competition, political and institutional reform, social and economic reforms that help with the approach towards the EU values.
However, the financial aid will not be without conditions. The intensity and the extension of the help may change.
