COVID-19, 26 deaths in Kosovo, 26 in North Macedonia

The situation with the coronavirus remains concerning in Kosovo. 26 people have died in the past 24 hours and more than 1400 new cases were confirmed.

In Peja, two newborn children resulted positive with coronavirus. The patients who recovered are 1400 for the past day, while the active cases are 26,000 in the entire country.

The progress with the immunization campaign is not slowing down the spread of the virus. According to the ministry, 20,000 vaccines were administered in the past 24 hours only.

North Macedonia registered 26 deaths this Friday, taking the total number of fatalities to 6013, since the beginning of the pandemic.

722 persons resulted positive after making 5865 tests in the past 24 hours.

The North Macedonian Health Ministry declared that the victims come mostly from cities where the vaccination is still low.

The north Macedonian Ministry of Education announced that 14 students have been also infected with coronavirus, but they didn’t give details about the schools where the cases were registered. The infections were registered three days after the school started.
