The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, declared that the vaccination may be obligatory for students who will want to attend regular classes.

While inspecting the University Residence no.2, Rama said that those who will not want to be vaccinated may stay outside interaction in auditoriums for as long as the virus will be present.

Students and activists have reacted against this declaration. To them, vaccination should be done by free will and without obligations.

“This is scandalous and senseless”, said  activist Migen Qiraxhi. “We hope that this is just a way for measuring our pulse, not a fuure decision to oblige young citizens who will have to receive education”.

Besides students, Rama said that professors and other categories who have a high risk of infection may be obliged to get vaccinated.
