Three new COVID cases in Albania and no deaths, Health Minister and National Emergency call for vaccination before new wave

The Albanian Health Minister, Ogerta Manastirliu, appealed citizens to get the COVID vaccine to be more protected during the summer.

In a social network post, Manastirliu declared that this way citizens will be ble to avoid the new variants of the coronavirus and the upcoming cold season.

The Head of the Albanian National Emergency, Skender Brataj, declared that the next wave of the coronavirus may come earlier than foreseen. According to him, Europe will be dominated within this summer by the Delta variant, also by the European Football Championship.

Brataj appealed citizens to continue with the vaccinations. Although they don’t offer full support form infections, when receiving both doses may save patients from death.

Albania made 3513 test today, and only 3 resulted positive. No death caused by the coronavirus has been registered in the past days, while there are three patients receiving hospitalized treatment.
