The government’s proposal to make available €50 mln as a sovereign guarantee for tourist operators has been welcome by the representatives of these sectors as a nice, but insufficient initiative.

The leader of the Hotel-Tourism Association, Zak Topuzi, says that the initiative doesn’t resolve the crisis of the tourism sector since the losses caused by the pandemic are much bigger.

Dritan Zhllima, from the manufacturing sector, says that the government’s proposal is vital for manufacturing businesses, in order to revive it after bein hit by COVID-19.

The government’s initiative, part of the business development strategy for the next six years, aims bringing back to normality the sectors most hit by the health crisis caused by the coronavirus.
