The Albanian Health Ministry announced that no person has died in the past 24 hours. The authorities have conducted 2872 tests in the past 24 hours, 13 of whom have resulted positive.
There are 23 patients receiving hospital treatment at the remaining COVID hospital, six of them in intensive care.
While Albania doesn’t have any confirmed case of the Indian mutation, the Public Health Institution has suspected for several patients. Fortunately, they resulted negative.
Iris Hasbira, a specialist at the Public Health Institution said for A2 that the Indian version can be spread much faster than the British one. Besides that, there are no eact data yet on how the anticovid vaccines react to the variant.
