
The Albanian Health Minister declared that today, May 24th, 2021, Albania marked the lowest number of new confirmed infections since June 2020.
Eugena Tomini, Deputy Health Minister, was today’s guest on A2 Ditari, where she underlined that the indicators have been improved significantly, which means that the Committee of Technical Experts may review the restriction measures in the first week of June.
As regards the Summer months, Tomini said that the EU will decide on June 1st about the “Green Passport” and its requirements, and Albania is registering all the individuals who have received both doses.
Meanwhile, 14,000 new Pfizer vaccines have arrived at the Tirana Airport. 60,000 Chinese vaccines arrived one day ago, part of the 500,000 doses agreement from Turkey. This means that the vaccination process for the second dose will continue throughout the country.
