As promised, the Albanian President, Ilir Meta, arrived at 07:00 at the polling station to exercise his duty as a citizen and vote.
“For the Constitution, for the Republic, for Albania in Europe”, said Ilir Meta in front of cameras while casting his ballot.
The Head of States called the citizens for massive participation and invited them to chose a candidate with integrity.
“This blessed day finally came, this wonderful day. God helped us so that the sovereign can have good conditions to express its will. Equality before the law is guaranteed by the equality of the vote. Every citizen must vote freely and with dignity for the candidate and alternative he trusts. Voting today is a patriotic act. The country is protected by vote, with European civilized behavior”, Meta declared.
