The Albanian writer, Ismail Kadare, met with young Albanians today to discuss art and literature.
As he confirms, it is hard for a writer to express everything he thinks through spoken words. For such communication he can find confidence only through his pen.
“Whenever I have the opportunity to visit cities similar to mine, which have played a similar role in my life, I always have the feeling to absorb everything I can from the city. Us writers have our destiny tied to the books we have written. Our dilemmas are tied to them. I know this, and this doesn’t break me spiritually. What we did, we did it with conscience and we shall protect it”, Kadare declared.
