Helga Vukaj, a member of the regulatory commission of the Central Election Commission asked CEC Chairman Ilirjan Celibashi to call the Prosecutor General in a meeting. According to her, the two institutions must coordinate their work and take measures against electoral crimes before it is too late.

“There are electoral investments made without procedures. There are procurements, aid distribution, processes, money distribution, property titles, etc, in exchange for votes. They will be introduced to the Commissioner so that he can address our request to the Prosecutor. He must inform him immediately about our reports in Tirana. This matter needs immediate attention and they should take measures before the electoral crime spreads throughout the country. This is dangerous and our acts will lose value without a reaction and cooperation between the law enforcing institutions”, Vukaj declared.
