The US Embassy to Tirana announced that the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Matthew Palmer, will attend a virtual visit in Albania.
Palmer will meet the highest government officials regarding the April 25th elections and the progress with the judiciary reform.
“Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Palmer will conduct a “virtual visit” to Albania today. He will meet with President Meta, PM Rama & DP Chair Basha to discuss the U.S. priorities, including expectations for the April 25 elections. DAS Palmer will also meet with champions of justice reform. He will conclude his visit with a roundtable discussion with journalists who have taken part in U.S. exchange and training programs”, said the US embassy announcement.
