The vaccination process for teachers in Kosovo has been suspended after authorities refuse to vaccinate teachers with Chinese or Russian vaccines now owned by Albania.
The Kosovo Health Minister, Arben Vitia, confirmed that Albania may vaccinate their teachers when they have Pfizer or Astrazeneca vaccines available.
“The Albanian Health Minister Manastirliu informed me that the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines are out of stock in Albania and that the vaccination is continuing with Sinovac, which was produced by China. Even if we wanted, Kosovo has laws that ban the import of products that are not certified by the European Medicament Agency. This is the reason why the process has been postponed”, Vitia declared.
