The Saint Paul Cathedral in Tirana held the mass for the revival of Christ, one of the most important dates of the Catholic calendar.
In this time of pandemic, the mass that is usually celebrated at midnight was held at 17:00, to respect the measures imposed by the authorities for preventing the spread of the virus.
Many devotees gathered at Tirana’s Catholic Cathedral, most of who were wearing masks.
In his message addressed to the attendants, Father George Frendo appealed politicians to hold a decent electoral campaign.
“I appeal candidates to hold a clean and decent electoral campaign, without lowering the level to personal or family related insults and humiliations”, Frendo declared.
Easter is one of the most important holidays of the Christian religion, with devotees commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.
