COVID-19, fewer cases in Albania, the situation remains concerning in Kosovo

The Albanian Health Ministry reported that eight people have died in the past 24 hours by the coronavirus. Yesterday there were 13 deaths. The number of new COVID-19 cases confirmed today was 449, after making 3012 tests.

The Health Ministry confirms that 2900 vaccines were administered in the past 24 hours, while the people who have recovered from the virus today were 589.

There are 343 patients that are receiving medical assistance in the COVID hospitals of Tirana and other districts. 18 of them are kept under intensive care, 10 are using ventilators.

Albania has lost 2192 lives so far from COVID-19.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Albanian health authorities have made 545,244 tests and 123,216 of them were confirmed positive. 88,349 patients were recovered while the total number of active cases remains 32,675.

COVID-19 in Kosovo

Kosovo has recorded 860 new cases in the past 24 hours after taking the results of 4318 tests.

The total number of cases in Kosovo has reached 86,000 while 1819 people have died.

The good news is that the number of recovered patients has been high for the past 24 hours, added by 682. The total of active cases in the country is 13,106.
