First doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine arrive in Albania

The first 38 400 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine have arrived in Albania.

Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that now the government can start vaccinating students and professors.

“There will be another batch soon. Let’s hope it will be more significant”, Rama declared.

“We need to undergo an intensive vaccination to break the chain of infections and alleviate the situation”, Rama declared.

The US Ambassador to Tirana, Yuri Kim, greeted the arrival of the first vaccines from Covax, considering a “Great news for Albania.
