Albania is ranked last in Europe as regards the per capita income. A recent EUROSTAT report notes that our country marked 4500 EUR per capita (a year) from 2018 to 2019, 700 EUR lower than North Macedonia and 1600 less than Serbia.
Montenegro ranks the highest in the region, with 7500 EUR< while the average annual income in the EU is 31,000 EUR.
The northern part of Albania has the lowest income, around 3600 EUR per capita, then the south with 4000 EUR.
